Directions to the Lake!!!

Here are some directions to the Platte Lake landing, from Brainerd, go south on Hwy. 25 to the Dewing Hwy. ( Hwy. 2), go left to Co. Rd. 113, take a right on 113. Follow 113 until it comes to a stop sign, this will be Co. Rd. 51, at the stop sign, go left, to Sunrise Point Rd. (I think thats the name), there is a public access sign there, the road goes to the left, the access is down this road about 1 mile, if you miss the turn there, and you come to the canal that is between Platte, and Sullivan, you've gone too far, turn around, look for public access sign, and then turn right... Also to make the trip a little easier, try to get in touch with your partners and if at all possible, carpool. This will help with fuel, and also help with parking at the landing, as it is a fairly small parking area that is provided.. See you guys there Sat... Keith

Words from the President

As some of you may have noticed, there was a slight change to the partner draws for this up comming year. There was a meeting held on Monday May 21st. at Bada Bings, in attendance (for the decision making) were Jim Eide, Justin Goss and myself. The reasons for this meeting were to pair as many "singles" or un-paired people to help cut down on costs, and also to fill a void from a person that ended up leaving us. All went well and there were not any life altering changes made.

The first tournament of the year is almost upon us, and there are some reminders that need to be stated, first of all, the tournament fees ($50) are due Friday, June 1st... I'm sure most if not all are up to date with this, but just a reminder. Also if you are unable to fish you MUST be in touch with Jim Eide by no later than the Wednesday before the tourney.. The access that we agreed on using will be the one just off of hwy 51 or the channel between the lakes. I have not been there yet, however if that access turns out to not be good or even there, then an alternate will be selected and you will be notified.

This weekend marks the opening of bass season, so with that in mind, lets get geared up, and plan for a bunch of big limits.. See you on the water.. Keith
